Loyalty QR code: one scan, points credited
The QR code is the only move your team has to remember. The customer scans, their points land, the queue moves on. With no app installed, on their very first visit as well as the next ones.
- Zero waiting at the counter
- Single-use QR
- No hardware
How the Kyvo loyalty QR code works
The loyalty QR code is generated from the merchant app, on your phone or tablet. You display it, the customer scans it with their own device, their points are credited. There is nothing to print, nothing to stick on the counter, and nothing to replace when the cardboard wears out.
One point is worth stressing because it changes everything at peak time: the customer does not need to already have the app. The scan opens a web page, the point is reserved immediately, and creating the account takes seconds with Google, Apple or an email address. Nobody holds up the till waiting for a download.
Kyvo also offers a printable sign-up QR code, different from the visit QR code. That one goes in the window or on the tables: it introduces the programme and lets customers join your loyalty card, with the welcome points you chose. Downloading the app is offered there, never required.
The journey, step by step
Four steps, three of them on the customer's side. Yours takes a second.
You generate the QR code
From the merchant app, in one tap, at the moment of payment.
The customer scans
With their phone camera. No app is needed for this first scan.
The point is reserved
It is secured before the account is created, so nothing is lost if the customer finishes signing up later.
The reward unlocks
Once the threshold is reached the customer is notified, and you validate the reward on their next visit.
A QR code designed against abuse
A loyalty program only holds up if points cannot be manufactured. That is why the Kyvo QR code is not a fixed image taped near the till that anyone could photograph and use from home. It is generated on demand and stops being valid once used.
An anti-abuse delay, adjustable from thirty minutes to four hours and on by default, prevents a customer from collecting several points during the same visit. And for businesses where the phone stays on the counter, the QR display screen can be locked behind a four-digit PIN so nobody helps themselves while you are away.

- Anti-abuse delay adjustable from 30 minutes to 4 hours
- QR screen lockable with a four-digit PIN

Frequently asked questions about the loyalty QR code
Not necessarily. The scan opens a web page, the point is credited, and the customer then finds their cards, points and rewards again from their browser. The app is still strongly recommended: it is the channel your notifications travel through, so your reminders to inactive customers and your Google review requests. A customer with the app is a customer you can bring back.
No. An anti-abuse delay, on by default and adjustable from thirty minutes to four hours, prevents a customer from collecting several points during the same visit.
The checkout QR code is shown on your screen, so there is nothing to print. The marketing kit does include a printable sign-up QR code for your window or your tables, to recruit new members.
You can adjust their points manually from their customer profile on their next visit. No visit is lost because of a dead phone.
